Request for Support of the MAC's Assessment Literacy Standards

Join the movement to improve student achievement through Assessment Literacy! 

We invite your support of the MAC’s Assessment Literacy Standards (ALS). The Standards were drafted in 2012 based on seminal works, reviewed by national assessment experts as well as Michigan educators and education associations, and published in 2015. The research-based Standards are designed to support development of quality, comprehensive, balanced assessment practices and systems in schools, through:

·         In-service and pre-service training,

·         Endorsements for administrators and credentialing for teachers, and

·         Policy development and decisions that result in appropriate allocation of public resources.

Your individual or organizational support will assist in the MAC’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness for the ALS and to engage the education community in a comprehensive professional development initiative designed to improve student achievement through the development of assessment literate adults at all levels.
