NCAA by-laws require that each member institution conduct exit surveys with a sample of student-athletes. To meet that requirement, when a student-athlete completes his or her participation in intercollegiate athletics, the Athletics Department asks them to complete a two stage exit process. Stage One involves completing this on-line survey. The survey includes questions regarding the value of the student-athlete's experiences athletically, academically, and socially while representing the university in sports. In Stage Two, you will complete a face-to-face exit interview with Assoc. Athletic Director Pamela Parks. Summary data results from the survey and the interview will be used by the Athletics Department for an annual report that is given to the university administration.
As a participant in this survey, your participation is completely voluntary. If you chose to participate, you are free to withdraw at any time from the survey without penalty. You do not have to answer any questions you do not wish to answer and all responses are COMPLETELY confidential. There are no foreseen risks associated with this study. The survey should take you approximately 20-25 minutes to complete.
