Reasons why Terran Republic was chosen in PlanetSide 1

They had an XP bonus the day I joined.

Preferred their weapons and max units

Cool colour scheme

Most organized faction

Aesthetic, weapons handling, what they stood for (they're not the evil, bad guys) and I found they were the most willing to support each other.

Ability to kill 3-4 people with one magazine as Heavy Assault.

I like their gear, equipment and genenral overall aspect of the faction.

Loyalty unto Death.

Favorite color is Red, and I like fast firing weapons, also they are more military oriented oout of all the faction, and their weapons and vehicles seem to be more modern.

When I first played the game I liked the look of them the most, so I played them. I don't really care about the lore of the factions.

Color

Visually, they were the most appealing.

All factions were designed more similarly. In PS2 I will fight for TR, because their gear and uniforms are cooler looking, that is all.

There is no global metagame. It seems to be a massive BF3 style map with a lot more capture points. There doesn't seem to be any effect of one continent to another. The only reason to fight on one map instead of another is asthetic.

Hitscan only rifles, spawn delay looks large, time to kill looks a tad to fast on players.

I once essentially single-handedly fought off a small squad of hostile jackhammer toting NC inside a tower with little else than a suppressor and an agile exo suit. I remember the tell from one of my several allies whom was also in the tower, "God damn, dude! Leave some for us!" Another story involves being alone with a max at the backdoor to a heavily contested facility, me repairing him while a cloaker slips by. I pretend to not notice him, then after roughly 6 seconds of repairing the MAX (but not completing the task,) I suddenly whip out my suppressor, turn around and fire down the hall, killing our would-be assassin without the aid of dark light or audio amp. People can be so predictable ;) I proceeded to top off my MAX ally, whom complimented me with, "You're a bad ass."

Most memorable moment: using my MAX's jumpjets to fly over a wall, landing on top of a flying BFR in mid-air. I then commence to blast away as I ride it down to the ground. I throw a ton more shots into its head, then as I fall off I shoot a few more comets into it, killing that SOB. Felt like a scene from an action movie

I remember fighting against the Vanu over a bridge which was contested for a good 4 hours. The TR managed to break through the Vanu lines with some prowlers convoys and a large amount of infantry providing a flanking manoeuvre. This was only for a tower which was very well defended by the Vanu but the TR managed to take it and move onto the Tech Faciliity nearby. It was a good experience.

Well, not a particular story, but my favorite thing to do was jump into a spook loadout with ACEs in my inventory and sneak around dropping spitfires behind enemy lines. Id also have a hack tool in my BP so once I was out of engineering I would sneak into the enemy base and hack a inventory terminal and jump into a MAX and wreck havock. So its looking like one of my favorite things to do wont be possible in PS2

At the age of 16 I was a officer in my Outfit and was the youngest Officer, but there was younger players in the outfit. Anyways fight on cyssor for a whole week straight and epic bridge battles.

My all-time favorite moment of Planetside was during a heated battle for a bridge. Tanks and other armor like BFRs were battling back and forth. I led my plattoon under the water to an island then under water again to the other side of the bridge. My plattoon was the first group of NC to cross the bridge in that battle. However by that time, the enemy was in full retreat from our advancing superior armor column. But me being able to lead a group of people nearly drowing under a bridge to enemy territory was my favorite moment. We were never detected in our route under the bridge and the snipers and phoenixes in the plattoon began successful open fire. It was awesome!
